To view events from past years, click here. 25/03/2010 - Gala Dinner and Auction A glittering fund raising gala dinner will be held at prestigious Northumberland hotel Doxford Hall on 25th March 2010. It will be a hugely enjoyable occasion at perhaps North Northumberland’s grandest venue. A chance to don the dinner jacket or posh frock and to enjoy a champagne reception followed by a superb three course dinner with wine included, be entertained by the auctioneer, and find superb bargains in the silent auction and voucher tree. In addition to having a glittering evening in the company of friends you can also bask in the knowledge that you have helped the funds of this most worthwhile cause, one of the few charities which serve solely the North Northumberland area.The venue, which has been donated without charge by owner Brian Burnie, will see over one hundred of Northumberland’s most enthusiastic supporters of their favourite local charity dressed to the nines for a fantastic dinner followed by an auction of things that money normally cannot buy. Already donated by MP Sir Alan Beith is tea at the House of Commons, whilst if you prefer to visit another place charity patron Lord Walton is offering a tour and lunch at the House of Lords. Many other amazing auction lots will be included, ranging from loan of a chauffeur driven Bentley to vouchers for meals in local restaurants, beauty treatments and other items donated by many local businesses. Event Contact : 01665 606515 20/08/2010 - Alnwick Moonlight Walk HospiceCare are holding their third Moonlight Walk on Friday 20th August 2010. This fantastic walk starts at 11pm from Alnwick market place and takes you on a tour of Alnwick and surrounding area. Starting at such a late hour makes for a magical atmosphere and with refreshments on route it is a great night for friends and family. Last year 300 people took part in the walk and raised over £15,000 for the hospice. Everyone had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed the experience; it takes approximately 2 hours to complete the route which also finishes in the market place. Its only £10 to register which includes your pink 2009 Moonlight Walk T-shirt, refreshments on route and a goody bag at the end. Everyone is welcome including children and dogs. There is no minimum sponsorship we just ask that you raise as much as possible for the hospice. For the third year Doxford Hall Hotel are kindly sponsoring our Christmas Craft & Food Fayre at the hotel on Sunday 28th November. The Craft Fayre will be open from 10am - 4pm with over 30 crafts and food stalls from around Northumberland. Come along and get some goodies for Christmas. Entry is £3, payable on the door. Sunday lunch is being served from 12noon - 2:30pm and afternoon tea available from 3pm - 5pm. Please book in advance on 01665 589700.
