19/05/2010 - HospiceCare is Morrisons charity of the year
Help the Hospices is delighted to have been chosen as Morrisons new Charity of Year for 2010 / 2011. The partnership began with the official launch day on 19 May, which will really kick off fundraising with bucket collections and Go Yellow activities in stores.
Each one of Morrisons 426 stores was then twinned with its local Hospice to help raise awareness and funds to benefit their local community. HospiceCare has been chosen by Morrisons of Alnwick, Berwick and Hawick to be their charity of the year. We will have a presence in the stores all year and we hope everyone can help us raise awareness and funds for their local charity
Morrisons is the UK’s fourth largest food retailer. There are over 400 stores involved in the partnership which have been twinned with hospices all over the UK. Morrisons colleagues will be supporting hospice care by taking part in lots of fundraising activity.
