By volunteering you are making a real, physical difference to the lives of the patients in the care of North Northumberland day hospice. Day Care We are always looking for people with time, talent and a drive to help those less fortunate than themselves. If you feel you have any of the above and wish to help don’t hesitate to get in contact. Day Care sessions are run four days a week between Alnwick and Berwick. We offer facilities for 10 patients per session and provide care and support in a relaxed and friendly environment. Driving The Hospice provides this service to get patients to our Day Care and Appointments. In addition we can offer patients help with transport for shopping, days out... etc. By volunteering as a driver not only do you help in the running of the hospice but you also help to try and bring a sense of normal life back to patients. Fundraising Throughout the year we hold various fundraising events to help with the running of the hospice. Volunteers are often needed to help man stalls, set up the event, serve refreshments etc... Admin Keeping on top of our admin is crucial - it means more time can be spent on the care we provide.By volunteering to help us keep our admin down you allow us to focus on our patients- the most important part of the hospice.
